The impact of Women in building a responsible and morally upright society on this earth can not be overemphasized. It takes Mothers, Women who are a reflection of and embodiment of good characters to realize this conscious environment.
This were the assertions of Dr Siju Iluyomade, Convener of Arise Women and other speakers at the 2022 Annual Women Conference, organized by the Lagos State, Chapel of Christ The Light Interdenominational [Women Wing] and Lagos State Public Service Christian Fellowship [Women Wing]. The event which was the 12th edition, was held between 18th and 19th August 2022 inside the Chapel Auditorium.
Dr Siju who was the Main Speaker at the event joined the First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu who was also Mother of the Day to admonish Women on the need to be truthful and godly in their daily activities on this earth to achieve a better society.
Dr Siju in her words says “ Women must be very bold and courageous in facing the realities of this life but we must be humble in our approach. True humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking of yourself less. It is not about denying your strength: its about being honest about your weaknesses. We have the treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us”
In her word of inspiration, she said “ be inspired but not proud, never be too proud of who you are and what position you hold because afre a game of chess, the kings and the pawns are tossed into the same box”
