Gabonese born Kannywood actress, Hadiza Aliyu Gabon has revealed why she is no longer seen in Hausa films. This is because she has become a celebrity and a sought after artist as such, she no longer charge less than 1 million naira per film.
“I have come a long way and have rendered all I could for the growth of the industry, and haven’t been in active acting for more than 10years, one has reached a stage that you have to negotiate for reasonable fee before accepting to append your signature in any acting contract. Hadiza Gabon now charges from 1 million above, if you can’t pay that, then we are not in business”.
Speaking too some media representatives in Kano, in her new Hadiza Gabon Youtube Channel Office, named Gabon’s room, she added that she has decided to open her Youtube Channel to be presenting and interviewing personalities.
she is a diploma graduate in French from Republic of Gabon, but has promised to enroll in Bayero University, Kano very soon for a part time program in Mass Communication or Journalism.
“If destiny decides to put me in a man’s house, meaning if I get married, I will refocus my businesses, with the agreement with the man that I will marry, but definitely, I will still be in the entertainment business or marketing, I came to Nigeria virtually with nothing to tell but as you can see, Gabon is now a successful actress, I am very grateful to my fans and Nigerians in general, very soon, I will venture into television production and become another Winfrey Operah”.
Kannywood industry is growing so fast, but I can tell you, this new crest for series production is not a better way to develop the industry, we still need the conventional weekly film production instead of waiting for weeks or month for a series film program that may not even attract the attention of viewers, so I will look into the issue of going massively into the conventional film production.
