The Progressive Institute, TPI has gained global prominence as the populous Asian nation, China Invites the newly established institute to its annual conference holding in Beining, China.

Following an invitation to TPI, the Director of Programs, Mohammed Sanusi Kiru has embarked on a trip to China to attend the event.

The International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC) will host in Jilin Province, China a briefing Stories of CPC: Achievements of Northeast China in Practicing Xi Jinping .

The theme of the conference is ‘Building A New Era of All-Weather China-Africa Community of Destiny: the Responsibility of Think Tank and Media’

The event will feature Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era on Monday, 14 October 2024 (Beijing Time). Focusing on the theme Striving for New Breakthroughs in the Full Revitalization of Northeast China,

It will also feature a briefing session, a group meeting with leading officials of local CPC committees and the IDCPC, as well as field visits.

A statement from the CPC added that economic and trade activities will also be held on the sidelines of the event.

TPI Director of Programs who has already arrived in Beijing on Sunday is expected to engage the Chinese politicians in a number of bilateral educative cum political issues such that could foster social economic and political development amongst the two countries.

Sanusi Kiru, former Commissioner for education in Kano State will be returning to Abuja after the conference by the end of October.
