The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to Thomas Adewumi University (TAU) to establish a postgraduate school and commence 27 postgraduate programmes.
The approved programmes, which cut across various disciplines, include Accounting, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Criminology and Security Studies, Economics, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
In addition, the NUC also approved the B.Sc. Cyber Security programme, which is expected to commence immediately.
This development is a significant milestone for Thomas Adewumi University, which has continued to expand its academic offerings to meet the growing needs of students and the society at large.
The University has been granted approval to offer the following programmes:
– PGD, Masters, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Accounting
– PGD, MBA, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Business Administration
– PGD, Masters, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Mass Communication
– PGD, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Computer Science
– Masters, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Software Engineering
– M.Sc and Ph.D. in Criminology and Security Studies
– PGD, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Economics
– M.Sc and Ph.D. in Biochemistry
– M.Sc and Ph.D. in Microbiology
– B.Sc in Cyber Security
The approval of these programmes is expected to further strengthen Thomas Adewumi University as a sought after leading institution of higher learning in Nigeria.
