Kwara Agenda for Asiwaju(KWAGA),an APC support group that worked for the 2023 electoral victory of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President and all APC candidates in Kwara State,has described the choice of Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru as a reflection of his antecedents as a great leader with positive track records of quality representation in the upper legislative chambers in the last four years of representing the good people of Kwara south.His emergence as Principal officer is also divinely inspired and in the interest of development of Kwara south Senatorial district and the state at large.
He is a true definition of a progressive lawmaker and a committed leader of his people.Being a silent but strategic achiever whose years of political experience and commitment to community and public service has deeply enriched his capacity and prepared him for his new role in the legislative leadership.His capacity to bring positive contributions to the national assembly is definitely not in doubt.His appointment is a blessing and beacon of hope not only for Kwara southern senatorial district but entire Kwara State which we are confident will be strategically exploited.
The office of Deputy Chief Whip is a soft landing for strategic lobbying in the Senate.
However there is need for more robust and greater collaboration between the 10th National Assembly and Executive Arm of government to build a united, progressive and prosperous Nigeria in tandem with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Mantra.
Finally, KWAGA pray to God Almighty to grant him more years of grace,widom and to strength to deliver more dividends of democracy to his constituents,Kwara State and Nigeria at large.As we call for continuous support for all our representatives at the National Assembly to deliver on their campaign promises.
