Hajia Basirat Motunrayo Adedoyin, the beautiful Yeye Oloriewe of Oro Kingdom in Kwara State turned 60 years last week. The milestone with a Dinner organised by her children at the upscale Restaurant, Ember, in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Hajia Basirat is the wife of celebrated journalist and Oloriewe of Oro Kingdom, Alh. Raheem Adedoyin whose colleagues honoured the invitation dinner.
The DIGNITARIES included the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Elder Kayode Alabi who was reoresended by city educationist, Chief Fattah Amolegbe;Â Mr. Eniola Bello, Managing Director, ThisDay Newspapers; Prince Ayorinde Adedoyin, Managing Director, Peacegate Group; Sir Folu Olamiti, celebrated editor and media executive and Prince Olabode Odetundun , Business Head, Real Estate Advisory , Investment One Financial Services Group and city business woman Hajia Raliat Adigun, wife of Adedoyin’s bosom friend, seasoned journalist and Oil and Gas consultant, Alh. Tajudeen Adigun, City Corporate player, Michals Olatunde Oyeyiols and Mr. Tosin Adeyanju, a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress ( APC) .
Also present were the close friends and old classmates of the celebrant as well as representatives of the 1984 set of the University of the University of Lagos Mass Communication Alumni Association led by Mrs Mopelola Alli and Barr. Abolade Opaleye who came with their hubbies.
While the Dinner was on, Kwara State Governor, HE AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, called and spoke directly with the Celebrant, wishing her more fruitful years in good health
The night was lit with the electrifying presence of some house mates of the Big Brother Nigeria ( BBN) led by Beauty , a close friend of Zainab Jumoke Adedoyin ( a ka JMK), a former BBN housemate.
The Children – Taofik, Abdulmojeed, Taibat and Zainab- said the Dinner was their little way of appreciating their mother for her love, care sacrifices for them.
Taofik, who spoke on behalf of the children, recalled the faith-based ways their mother raised them and the love she continue to shower in them and her Grand children.
Goodwill messages were delivered by some guests including Sir Olamiti, Mr. Opaleye who all recalled their encounters with the celebrant and the faithful , resourceful wife she has been.
