His Royal Highness Oba Olaniyan David Adekunle, Orifemiloye Odundun-Asodedero 1, the Elekan of Ekan Kingdom on Tuesday, paid a thank you visit to the Kwara State House of Assembly in Ilorin, the State capital.
The visit which was led by the National President of Ekan Development Association (EDA), Barrister Anthony Kayode Towoju was in recognition of the prominent role played by Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Yakub Danladi, the Deputy Speaker, the House Leader, all the Principal Officers and other Honourable members of the House to support the process of the installation of the new Oba in Ekan.
While appreciating the members of the House, Towoju thanked the Chief whip and member representing Ekiti Constituency, Hon. Abolarin Gabriel and Honourable Joseph Bamigboye Kuti (Oke-Ero Constituency) for their support in ensuring the success of the process.
Oba Adekunle while appreciating the members of the House, equally lauded the Speaker for the mediation and reconciliation roles He played during the process of installation of Elekan.
He described the Speaker as an exemplary Leader who believes in unity of purpose for the progress of all; and prayed for the success of the 10th Assembly and the success of the Speaker in his future endeavors.
In His response, the Speaker appreciated the visit and described as a welcome development for the entire people of Ekan Kingdom.
He stated that Ekan and the entire Oke-Ero Local Government Area blessed to have dedicated people like Hon. Joseph Olajire Kuti and Dr. Mary Arinde in Government.
He also praised the EDA National President for standing by the Community during the time of trial.
Honourable Danladi also maintained that Ekan has paid the House a landmark visit which the House will reciprocate and enjoined Oba Adekunle to embrace everyone in the community to ensure peace and development of Ekan Kingdom.
