Aisha Humaira the Kannywood popular actress, dancer and singer, has cried out to the public, saying that a boy she assisted with money, handset, clothes, accommodation and medical care has now turn into a serious burden, an issue she is not prepared to contend with.
In a statement she issued in Kano and made available to the media, Humaira noted that recently she received a call from certain person telling her that a boy trekked from Bauchi to Kano to see her, but has fallen sick and has been admitted in a hospital as such her attention is urgently needed.
“ I rushed to Kano and went straight to the hospital, I saw the boy, later paid his bill and compensated those that took him to the hospital, I took the boy to my house, asked him to take a bath, later I gave him very good food and fruits to take.
“He was allowed to stay with me for some days, I then invited his parents to come all the way from Bauchi, when they came, I took good care of them, clothes and money, bought them handsets and arrange for them to be taken back to Bauchi.
“Few days later, the boy came back to Kano and told me that the money I gave them was stolen including the handsets and the clothes, but this time he told me that he is not going back to Bauchi, that he will stay in Kano with me, I felt bad and disappointed, I gave him money again and put him in a vehicle to take him to Bauchi, only for him to return to Kano few days later.
“Since I became close to Dauda Kahutu Rarara, the popular Kano film producer and philanthropist, we have been helping people with money, clothes, food stuff, especially now that people are suffering but this particular incident is making me to be careful about those soliciting for assistance, I am not ready to adopt anybody now especially this boy that proved to be nothing but a cheat.
Stressing that she is always ready to assist because she has been doing this for long, especially for her colleagues in Kannywood and religious places, and something she learnt from her boss, Rarara.
