The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the expulsion of several prominent members following what it described as serious anti-party offenses and actions allegedly threatening the party’s unity, according to a statement credited to the PDP National Working Committee (NWC).
The decision, which the NWC said takes immediate effect, comes after internal investigations and high-level deliberations over allegations of misconduct involving the affected members.
Those listed in the announcement include:

HE. Ayo Fayose – Former Governor of Ekiti State
Senator Samuel Anyanwu – Former PDP National Secretary
Hon. Umar Bature
Adeyemi Ajibade, SAN
Mohammed Abdulrahman
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa
Hon. Austine Nwachukwu
Abraham Amah
George Turner
Chief Dan Orbih
The party’s leadership also noted that the disciplinary action was taken to “protect the integrity of the party, uphold its constitution, and reinforce internal democracy.”
