FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RE- ALLEGATIONS REGARDING THE KIDNAP AND MURDER OF A FEMALE POLICE OFFICER IN KWARA STATE.
The Kwara State Police command is aware of recent news circulating on various social media platforms that a female police officer(No name) serving in Kwara State was kidnapped and murdered. These claims are entirely false, and deeply distressing to members of the public.
The Kwara Police Command wishes to state unequivocally that:
This report is not only false but also misleading, with the intent to cause panic in the state.
Members of the public are hereby advised to disregard this false/misleading information as there is no report of any female police officer missing or abducted in any division in the state.
There is no Ogidi police Division in Kwara State.
The spread of such misinformation is not only harmful to reputations but also distressing to the individuals and the people of Kwara State.
The Command is cooperating fully with other security agencies in the state to ensure that we continue to protect lives and properties, prevent crimes, and maintain peace. We urge the public and media outlets to refrain from sharing unverified or sensationalized information that may cause unnecessary panic or damage the reputation of the state.
The command under the leadership of CP Adekimi Ojo psc, mnips, remains committed to transparency and will provide further updates as necessary.
