Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, attended the 30th anniversary celebration of Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
The Minister who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR congratulated the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria ( PETAN) on its three decades of impactful existence.
He stated that, “for thirty years, PETAN has served as a bastion of strength and resilience, advocating for the growth of indigenous Oilfield Service Companies and ensuring that Nigerians assume their rightful roles in the development of our Petroleum Resources”.
” Your steadfast dedication has been instrumental in the success of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act of 2010, which has substantially enhanced local capacity and created numerous opportunities for our citizens,” he noted.
Present at the occasion were the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Honourable Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Oil) Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, Governors of Abia and Imo States, represented by their Commissioners of Oil & Gas, Captains of Industry, past Presidents of PETAN among others.
